Had all my stuff stored here and when my daughter moved her stuff out I was told that the storage people threw all my belongings away even though the bill was paid up to December 3rd. I was never contacted about this before they did this. So now I have to get an attorney involved so that I can replace the items that are replaceable, but that's not going to do anything for the family photos I lost, or any of the other irreplaceable items that these inconsiderate people just decided to trash without having the courtesy of contacting me. ... I have had storage units at Liberty Bend Storage for nearly 23 years. At one point I had 5 units. I have watched at least 3 different "Managers" come & go I think I can safely say I have seen it all during my rental time there. The first managers were older, nice & in a bit over their heads. I rented a 10X20 indoor, climate controlled unit. A car was often parked inside my building right in front of mine & 5 other units overnight and sometimes for several days. I reported the situation to the manager. The manager explained that was his sons car & he was going thru a divorce & couldn't park his car at his girlfriends house so he parked it it that building. He was not even a tenant!! His girlfriend would pick him up 7 drop him off there, Many other issues: drinking & fighting with girlfriend etc. They were fired Next was a young couple that didn't do anything, like answer phones, clean and maintain the property, and were rude Fired!! Next came Evan & Jenna. I was concerned and decided to move. By then I had two more units. The next 3 weeks went well & I paid another month. I couldn't find another place. The property was getting cleaned up, shrubs were groomed, painting was being done, they were friendly, helpful and addressed issues with a "thank you for letting us know about it", & proceeded to fix it. I am aware of a major break in in my unit that was a big issue. Lots of damage done, debris everywhere, units ravaged, glassware smashed etc. It was heart wrenching. Jenna & Evan were just as distraught as we tenants. Over the years I have watched Evan & Jenna raise 3 children, working on getting them through high school and beyond. I have been so fortunate that I stayed. The other storage company I as considering had bigger issues than the ones I experienced with Jenna & Evan. One suggestion I would make to any potential storage renters: If you value your belongings enough to store them take a video or pictures of everything, call your insurance agent & see if they will insure them! If not, buy renters insurance elsewhere. I do remember seeing forms for that in the Liberty Bend office. Take responsibility for the possibility of fire or theft and document it. Just like you would if it was in your home! We love Liberty Bend Storage. and support their efforts to give quality customer service and do it with a good attitude. Just remember, no building is immune to adverse events. Buy insurance, check your unit occasionally, and be a good renter by keeping your area & common areas tidy. ... Read more

I am (typically) not one to leave a review, good or bad but felt compelled after reading others remarks. Myself and my parents have been Liberty Bend customers since 2007 and have never had an issue with their service or security (we both store campers on their lot). The communication is first rate. We have been notified immediately after inclement weather was present and had the potential to damage units (no damage was ever found). I have not priced other surface storage lots, but I understand LBS is on the lower end of average. I like that they give a discount for both 6 month and 12 month terms. I appreciate the fact the Managers live on site, and are active in the overall upkeep of the property. We have only had one issue getting in, and it was a problem with MY finger on (an older) keypad. My wife has never had issues. I have had ZERO issues since the keypad was replaced. In 2018 (January-March time frame) I rented an inside storage space. I found it clean, dry, and free of any rodent issues. If you are considering this, I would recommend using Pallets (which are sometimes available) to keep the Cardboard boxes off of the concrete floor (and not just for LBS, but with any of the local storage areas). Great people, great service and (for me) great location is why I recommend Liberty Bend Storage to anyone who asks! ... Read more

Hello, I'm the manager of Liberty Bend Storage and feel I should respond. I'm sorry, but the previous review is full of inaccuracies because the customer was upset about being broken into. We were the victim of a break in where they destroyed our fence, cut right through it. They then cut through both customer padlocks and our padlocks, stealing or damaging both the customer's ?items and ours. Unfortunately, this is always a worry in this business and also unfortunately, it happens all over the country on a regular basis. We do in fact have multiple cameras. I don't know why she would have said we told her we don't. One of them did catch a blurry image of two people near the fence where it was cut. This video was of course handed over immediately to the Liberty Police the morning following the break in. She says "No security and no surveillance cameras In use. Claimed all their supposed cameras were stolen." That simply is untrue. We never would have said all our cameras were stolen. She's also angry that we supposedly? said her unit was broken into "sometime in the last 5 days." This is also simply untrue. The morning we found the thefts, we immediately spent at least two hours calling every single customer effected. Even though it was not our fault, we felt awful. If we didn't get a hold of someone immediately, we absolutely left voicemail messages and continued to call. This customer went long periods of time in between visits to her storage unit, which is fine of course. As I told everyone unfortunate enough to have to deal with this issue, we were victims as well but feel horrible that this happened to them. Since then we've added even more cameras to the ones we already had, and had large boulders placed near the fence (after it was repaired of course) where they drove up to. Thank you. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.
