Fine experience under 10Federal until ownership changed to MyPlaceSelfStorage. Don’t rent here unless you plan to never cancel your unit. I have been in contact via phone, text and online form submission for 3 weeks trying to cancel my rental. I was told the first call back that it was done. Then I got a bill for the next month. Then a late fee. I finally got a cancellation notice today that’s dated today with a notification to pay my bill. So I’m not done but I’m furious I’ve spent this much of my time trying to do something that should take a single click online. ... Read more

I had a great experience with 10 federal. This new company took over and raised the rates, the gate no longer works so it stays open 24/7, and they’re difficult to get up with. Terrible experience, and I will be seeking a new storage facility. ... Read more

Had a decent experience until new company took over and they gave out bad phone numbers, refused to return calls, than started charging late fees and tried putting a lien against our camper even though we had never missed a payment until their new system failed to run our autopsy. We are getting out of here as quickly as can be. I don't trust them anymore ... Read more

10 Federal Storage was very easy to start and the customer service was honestly top notch. However, we started renting our unit for about $90 a month a about a year ago and in that time they kept incrementally increasing the price until my last bill was almost $140 for that same unit. I could'nt believe how much the price continued to increase, we probably would have rented with them longer if pricing stayed more consistent. ... Read more

I have really appreciated the great customer service with this company. They have been so helpful. They also offer great prices. The unit is easy to get in and out of. I will say that for a climate controlled space, it is somewhat damp. Otherwise, I’m very thankful for this unit and the people at 10 Federal Self Storage. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

The facility at 128 McGhee Road is accessible during regular access hours, typically Mon-Fri: 8 a.m. - 9 p.m., Sat-Sun: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Office hours and gate access times may differ, so it’s a good idea to check the facility’s posted schedule before your visit.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.
