Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 515 South Greensboro Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I had a smooth visit at the Greensboro Street location in Carrboro last week. Donna helped my grandson into the gate when he was having a few complications. It was cold, late in the day, and she surely was pleasant without hesitation. It’s been a very busy with moving him in and was just now able to post. Thank you for the kind staff at this location. ?? ... Read more

I have used public storage and over the past yrs seen the decrease in "HUMANS." I have always had good interactions and help from people who worked there. I have not ran into any of them in the last yr. I emptied my storage this month and have been trying to reach a human but none of the phone trees let me get there. I want to know if they will refund any of the last months rent since my stuff is NOT THERE! and I cannot use the automated as it says I don't have an account. No way to speak to people. Disappointing. I can't even send an email to the company. I think they learned how to operate from the INSURANCE Companies. You cannot get a person, and there is only 2 choices 1 or 2.... and if you don't fit..... well "I can't find you...." in your best automated voice..... BRING THE HUMANS BACK! ... Read more

Don’t be fooled: public storage as a company is completely busted. They’re an annoying and condescending corporation. They don’t care about people and are obviously trying to push employees out in favor of automation. This review is for our new friend Ralph at the Greensboro St location. While stranded outside attempting to untangle a mysteriously cancelled reservation, Ralph walked up from his lunch break and offered to help. He kept his cool when another upset customer cursed and swore at him in the store. He maintained a helpful, calm, and kind disposition. He was genuinely interested in making sure our items were stored safely and that we had easy access to them. He had only been working there for a week, but Public Storage would be hell without him. Thank you Ralph! ... Read more

I had an outstanding experience with Chris at Public Storage! I had an issue with my daughter's storage unit where she attends college, and Chris was incredibly helpful in resolving it. Not only did he address the issue promptly, but he also followed up regularly to ensure everything was taken care of. His kindness and attention to detail made the whole process stress-free, and it was so reassuring to know that he was personally ensuring everything worked out, especially with me being so far away. I truly appreciate his exceptional customer service! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 515 South Greensboro Street has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
