Customer service is almost non existent and it’s hard to ever catch anyone in the office..the phone is a national call center…not to mention rates increase almost every 3/4 months. This year alone rates have gone up 4 times…It’s a safe secure storage for sure but don’t expect much for what you pay beyond that. ... Read more

My climate-controlled unit was water damaged due to the hurricane (I rented both a climate and non-climate) In fact the entire building was damaged and all tenants were informed that everything needed to be removed and documented to use the insurance everyone pays for (funny is that I called after the hurricane and asked if the units were ok and was told everything was fine). I did all the paperwork and took pictures and gave receipts and was told the insurance company would be calling soon. Here I am 5 months out from filing my claim and call at least once a week only to be told a manager will contact you within 24 hours. The email they tell you to contact also doesn’t not respond. Also, after I vacated my climate controlled unit, the rent for the non climate, undamaged unit rent rose a decent amount (they increased the rent throughout the year). I ended up just moving everything out when I threw everything away from the flooded unit. Definitely do not recommend this company. ... Read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. I rented a climate control unit, I provided my own insurance and they were still charging me an insurance fee. They are shady!! I moved my belongings to a different storage facility. My husband recently rented a unit while we were in the middle of moving. Same thing happened to him. They were secretly charging him for insurance after we provide the information needed to NOT be charged for it. They do not have a manager on site so when you get locked or have annt issues you have to call a call center. They are not helpful and just tell you a manager will call you back, no one callls you back. We have now been waiting for multiple days for our passcode to work. Still not a single returned call from a manager. We used the landscape code to get in because we have had this issue multiple times now. Terribly run company with no one actually running it. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!! ... Read more

I paid for my rental on Friday. I called Sunday night because the code you sent me was not accurate and got no answer, so I called at 8am this morning (Monday) to clear up my code mind you I rented a whole ass U-Haul to bring this stuff from Hendersonville that I was paying $1 a mile for, and some lady “reset” my code. So I drove back out there, the reset code didn’t work, I call again and someone says I’m gonna get a call from the property manager, never got that call. Tailgated someone to get into the facility because keep in mind, this is my second trip out there and I’m supposed to have been out of my house by Sunday. I come to TTB026 and there’s a lock on it, crazy!! You rented me an already occupied building. At this point I’m about to lose my mind. I call again, and a very nice lady tells me I was sold an occupied building…at this point I’ve talked to about 5 incompetent people who should’ve been able to tell me that but didn’t. I told the last lady I want my money back, and I feel like because of your companies incompetence I should be reimbursed for the mileage I wasted on this occupied building. I would like my $71 back, plus an additional $100 for the wasted miles, time, and money spent not being able to get out of my house on time, or return the U-Haul I rented on time, and going over the projected miles I prepaid for because nobody but the last person I spoke to could read. I’ll be posting my complaint on google and the BBB and let my friends at the radio know that your company just takes advantage of people, so they can announce and divert people from having to go through what I did. Funny I’ve made every effort possible to get a refund and this POS company won’t do anything!!! ... Read more

I rented a storage unit online, and was later notified that the storage facility had been damaged by flooding, which occurred days before I was allowed to rent the unit. I made numerous attempts to get a refund, but all efforts went unanswered by the manager of the facility. I could only speak with people at a call center, and they would not forward my call to the manager. Two weeks after having been charged for the rental, I was told that the facility was now open and I could now access the unit I had rented. This was not true. The facility was and is still closed (see the attached photo I took today of the entrance to the building the unit is in). This business is rated F by the BBB, which is too high as far as I'm concerned. This business is run by wholly incompetent people. ... Read more

Rented storage place online. Got the gate code and storage unit number. Went to get access and was denied entry. The office was closed and when I called the Hendersonville location they said the facility was closed due to the storm. There was no notice on the website that it was closed and I had movers booked for the weekend. I was told it MIGHT be open by the following Monday. Basically they took $127 from me for a storage unit I MIGHT be able to get into. I canceled the movers. DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE FACILITY. You can use them but most likely you'll be disappointed. ... Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Extra Space Storage - 875 Charlotte Hwy has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Extra Space Storage - 875 Charlotte Hwy can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 600 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Extra Space Storage - 875 Charlotte Hwy come at a variety of prices, starting from $40 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $260 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
