Read some helpful reviews of Manhattan Mini Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Safe, clean, and straightforward storage facility. I had and excellent experience with both Tony and Todd from the office. Both on check in, and especially on check out when I had an issue with my movers. They were both very kind and professional, and went out of their way to help me figure out what to do when the movers didn't show. Stellar service. ... Read more

Just a neat and clean operation from head to toe. Antonio was very helpful from the beginning, and Todd was always friendly and accommodating from middle to end. Best value and storage space in a crowded market. Easy covered bay with good carts to make storage and moving product easily. Interestingly, there is a quiet din from the noisy comings and goings of the busy neighborhood. A respite for the moments there. Godspeed. ... Read more

Todd was absolutely incredible and very helpful and kind during the whole process! I showed up close to closing time but Todd was extremely patient and understanding of my situation and let me move my things in even though I arrived late. Todd was extremely helpful - from switching our storage unit to a better one, helping us figure out pricing, and answering all our questions. Highly recommend! Updating this review to note that we were incorrectly told we can access this storage unit 24/7. After planning our move around this (including my parents driving from out of state, hiring movers, and more), we were then told this isn’t possible and left with no access to our belongings. While I understand that these miscommunications happen, I’m extremely disappointed at the lack of professionalism (including a customer service representative hanging up on my dad mid-call) and accountability by the main office. ... Never would I have thought that I would enjoy moving, especially into a storage unit. However, Cesar & Tony made the experience extremely enjoyable! They were so helpful and kind; always making sure I had everything I needed. I will be renting from here even though I am moving into the city; that’s how seamless they made the whole process. I’d recommend renting from here to anyone! Thank you, Cesar & Tony!! ... Read more

Absolute best storage facility. Staff (think his name is Tony) was extremely kind and courteous. Can’t say enough good things about how amazing this storage facility is. They communicated well with the moving company we used (Solidarity movers, who I also recommend) and made everything smooth and easy for us ... Read more

If you want to risk your things not surviving 3 years in storage, then you should get a unit here. If you want somewhere safe, go elsewhere. The building is badly in need of repairs and black mold is a serious issue in this place. When I noticed a leak above my unit, no one did anything other than provide me a thin sheet of plastic for weeks. I had to call the main headquarters for movement to happen and when i asked why at 50 wallabout, they said it had stopped leaking (it wasn't raining the following week). Everything in my unit was destroyed with black mold. My books and clothing, especially, were encrusted. I was finally told by Tony, the worker on call, that the water was seeping in through the walls into my unit. Everything next to the wall were freshly molded black and brown and it was clear that this had happened within the time that i called this to attention. Had action been taken right away, the destruction of all my property could have been avoided. I was finally provided a unit with less floor space than the one before. When I expressed upset re: the destruction of all stuff (you know, you pay them to do one job—keep your things safe...), the manager said "You want something to be upset about? Turn on the news." I received a paltry sum from insurance and had to fight for every penny. Most things couldn't be replaced and everything I owned was infested with mold when I got it out of the unit. Most things had to be thrown away or put into deep quarantine. EDIT TO ADD — if you email the owner as requested, they won't reply. It's fake to make it seem like they are attentive. They aren't. Don't waste your money. ... Read more

Tony and Cesar at the front are 100/10 guys - super great service and support. Unit and facility were great! Only took off a star because I feel as though my rent went up each month without much notification as to why! Otherwise, great experience! ... Read more

I was a customer since before it was Manhattan mini storage, and everything was fine. A couple of months ago, I received a call that I had to move my property because there was some construction going on, and my unit was going to be affected. I go to do that and I'm told I don't need to do so because it isn't happening. A few months later, I go to find everything covered in cement and other construction materials from drilling. My unit could have been covered with a drop cloth, and nothing would have been damaged. When I call the front desk, they go see the damaged and blame it on another contractor, not theirs. Anyhow, the resolution they gave me was one month free, which I used to move my property out of there and never used Manhattan Mini Storage ever in my life. I definitely recommend Local Locker. The pictures don't even portray the mess. When I moved some of my stuff, they even asked if I was there another day because they found a crazy amount of debris on the floor just from me taking my property out. On the last day, I even found a bit of water in a bag. ... Read more

Its a storage facility, they are remodeling and upgrading, the office staff were always very pleasant, the facilities were clean, and there were enough elevators that even when they are busy, it wasn't s long wait. There were also enough push carts. The only negative, and its not a reasonably correctable situation, is parking when things are busy, their space will hold 8 cars or vans easily but 4 will block the other 4 so most people do not pull all the way in. And Yes i would use them again if i moved back to Brooklyn ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.
