We were looking to increase our storage size and stopped in on a whim. Patrick was super helpful. Showed us two different options, got us the best deal, and explained everything without us having to ask a bunch of questions. Great customer service! ... Read more

Incredible service of: dodging our emails for months after our unit was broken into. we have tried to cancel several times. Please doublecheck to make sure you aren’t being charged past your cancellation date, this place is clearly having some issues with management. edit: I wrote this and immediately got a response from a separate location from a Barbara, who was incredibly helpful and apologized for the issues we were having, as well as sorted out our refund and claim. This particular public storage is indeed having some restructuring with management, but it sounds like other locations might be alright (especially if Barbara is there! Thanks again) ... Read more

Fred provided excellent customer service. He was professional, patient, and took the time to clearly explain everything. He made the whole process smooth and stress-free, which I really appreciated. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares about helping customers, and Fred definitely does. Highly recommend working with him if you need a storage unit. ... Read more

I rented a unit here in 2024. I checked out through the app and got the “thank you” message, so I assumed it was complete. Months later, I realized I was still being charged. When I called and spoke with management, I was told the lock was left on my door - a total accident during a chaotic move - but I was never contacted about it. I was talked over, blamed for them “losing money” (while they were still charging me), told the app checkout “didn’t count,” and warned my credit would be affected if I didn’t pay the current balance (for this month since I’d cancelled my card while trying to resolve things). I removed my lock that day, and was still sent to collections as an “outstanding balance”. I emailed their customer service with the full explanation and never heard back, but I did start hearing from the collection agency. I went through the BBB, who got the balance dropped, but I was never refunded for the months charged after checkout. Also, as fair warning: I didn’t personally lose items in the one month I actually stored them here, but multiple Google/BBB reviews mention theft, and I saw that my own rental contract included an exclusion for “mysterious disappearance” for their insurance, which (as I understood it) may not cover missing items without obvious signs of forced entry (so lockpicking is a supernatural event I guess). I also accidentally triggered a stairwell alarm while there and immediately reported it; the office staff didn’t seem aware anything had gone off. None of that inspired confidence. If you still choose to rent here, I strongly recommend reading the contract, monitoring billing, and triple-checking your lock so they don’t triple-charge you. TL;DR: Checked out via app ? still charged 3 months with zero communication ? cancelled card ? sent to collections ? BBB removed balance and my credit was unaffected ? never refunded. Security felt questionable at best. ... Read more

I walked into the facility and saw peoples belongings thrown all over the place. Door after door had been pried open with a 3 foot long piece of rebar which was left, leaning up against the entry door. It was so sad to see peoples belongings strewn all over the place and their storage units ransacked. I called and I reported it to the office which is very often unmanned, I had to leave a voicemail, and then I left, because I felt incredibly unsafe. I didn’t know if the robbers we’re still on the property if they were living inside of one of the units if they could see me. Office staff had no idea that it had happened. It was a really scary situation. I was so scared to be back in those hallways knowing that people were walking around with 3 foot pieces of rebar. It was really unsafe, and there was no way that I could stay there. Thankfully, I had not moved any of my valuable items into storage yet, so I was easily able to move out and because there was not another unit available outside of those secluded and out of view, hallways, I asked for a credit so that I could get a unit at another facility. That request has got ignored. The disc locks didn’t do anything to prevent the doors from being pried open because they pride the door open not the lock. Imagine the almost worst case scenario, this is it. That’s what I experienced here. The only thing that could’ve been worse is that I would have gone earlier while the people were still ransacking the units . ... Read more

Barbara was absolutely amazing! She helped us navigate what we need to do to manage our storage unit as well as the cost. She was very patient explained everything thoroughly and made sure I understood all the details. I truly appreciate having her help as I prefer to do these things in person rather than online. We were at the Barbur Boulevard location and she was absolutely fabulous. Thank you so very much, Barbara! ... Read more

Barbara was absolutely wonderful, and made my experience so smooth and hassle free. At 15 minutes to closing, she had five people stacked up in the lobby, and she was the only person there. She handled them all with patience and grace, and even stayed a few minutes late to make sure I had everything I needed.I highly recommend! ... Read more

It's clean, and that's about all the good things I can say about it. We stored here for three months during our move. During that time, we had multiple access issues and were given a unit with a broken latch. Every time we called we were unable to get any assistance on the ground. Just call center employees with no idea how to actually help beyond putting in maintenance requests that don't help us in the moment. Employees on the phone ranged from mildly understanding to incredibly rude. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
