Would give zero stars if I could. Took my 2018 Yamaha sx190 there to see why the check engine was coming on and to see whats going on with the air filter (the guy i got it from said the CEL was due to bypassing the air fulter). $545 for labor, to tell me that the air filter was not the right one and that the CEL is actually because of a temp sensor. So over 3.5 hours to crack open the air intake box, and to connect the computer and run a diagnostic. Either these guys are incompetent or they are crooks and thieves. So I take my boat out of there, total bill over $800, and all they did was replace a tip for a power cable (which could have been left alone IMHO). When I questioned the numbers, I was told that this is the time it took for diagnostics and repairs... Stay away from these guys. ... Read more

I recently had my boat serviced at Clews, and the experience went above my expectations. I made an appointment and Darrell in the service department gave me a call to drop off my boat when they were able to work on it. The service was really just to install a bow cushion, but I asked him if he could install a GPS/fish finder unit as well and he said they would work it into the schedule. While I was talking with him about the history of the boat, I wanted to service the cooling system. This was an unexpected ask by me, but he worked it right into his schedule and let me know the work was complete right before a holiday weekend. This seemed to be one of their busiest times of the year, yet they continued to be flexible and provided me a sense of security that everything was installed correctly and the coolant system is good to go for this boating season. Thank you for the prompt service and parts delivery. ... Read more

I was recently in the market for my first boat, and the Clews team helped me through every aspect of the process. As a new boat owner, there are so many questions and things to learn, and they helped me resolve everything as quickly as possible and remained supportive even after the sale. So glad I purchased my boat from them. ... Read more

I purchased a very basic boat motor - a Yamaha 2.5HP - for my backwoods trips on a canoe. The dealership touted the Yamaha warranty, their service, and how they stand by their product. Well after 20 hours of use something occurred with the cooling system (likely the impeller) and it stopped pumping cooling water in the engine. It happened in fresh water, same as the first 20 hrs, and I have operated boats my whole life (aside from being in the Navy). Clews took it apart and said it was totaled (which is was) and said I can buy a new one if I like and that the warranty didn't apply. I learned that this dealership works for Yamaha and not the customer. Buyer beware - a warranty is nothing more than a piece of paper, and the dealer cares much more about their relationship with Yamaha than the customer. They will not fight for you. This was a simple $1000 dollar lesson and thank goodness I didn't purchase the $50K boat I was going to next season. They are all smiles and cheer before you sign the papers, and after that you're on your own. Most do not get off this easy. ... Read more

Clews service shop is great. They have a mechanic that is very well educated and experienced in what he does. If you are in need of any type of help with your boat, the bearded mechanic is the one to see. He can fix any issues a boat is having along with being able to walk you through a detailed explanation of what happened and how to try and prevent it from happening again. If you need some tips and tricks on the best way to run your boat or how something on the boat works, he is able to help with that as well. He has so much knowledge and is definitely my go to guy. ... Read more

My wife and I are new to boating and were looking for a new first boat. We explored a few options, but ended up on Sea Ray. Jack was so helpful from start to finish with the purchase and is still helpful today a year later with any questions. Dave in service is just as helpful too. There were some warranty issues that needed fixed and Dave got it all taken care of for me with no hassle at all. The only problem now is we want a bigger boat! Thanks guys for the great experience and service AFTER the sale! ... Read more
