We are using the storage space to store college dorm room items for the summer. This was very easy to book. The space is super secure and bright. Customer service is also great, after I booked the unit someone called to see if I had any questions. I would recommend to others!

Amazing customer service!! Tom was extremely helpful and kind throughout the entire reservation and move-in process. The facility and my unit were very clean, plenty of carts to help move your stuff, and very friendly staff! I highly recommend using Extra Space Storage for whatever storage space you may need!

This is a 5-star review for Rachel -- but a 1-star review for Mike. (If I could leave negative stars for him, I would.) I never rented from Public Storage, but my late husband did rent 2 units. When he died, it was left to me to dispose of the contents. In dealing with Mike, I found someone who was difficult, often lied to me, and made this elderly, disabled, grieving, widow miserable in every way imaginable. First, there was the need to transfer paperwork. Mike couldn't get it done, but Rachel fixed it. Well, to a certain amount...as you'll see near the end of this post. Then, I only had the key to one of the units, and Mike said I needed to use his locksmith. When I had the locksmith meet me, we were denied entry because "the elevators are broken". And there were no stairs because "there are fire doors and no one can use them from the outside." Well -- Mike later told me that it was a problem with one elevator that someone had dropped an aquarium in an elevator, and there was glass....but hey -- there are TWO elevators, no reason for why we couldn't use the other one. Not to mention, it's against the local codes for Fire Doors to be locked. Mike promised that he'd call me when the elevator was fixed, and he never did. This caused a delay for the locksmith, and therefore I ended up needing to pay for an extra month's rent. When I was finally able to get the locksmith back, the lock had been changed on the unit to which I had a key (AND I HAVE WITNESSES) so I needed to pay to open that unit, also. Of note, this wasn't a key problem -- the original key had been circular, and the new lock took a standard key. Mike told me he'd get me a refund for not being able to access, but he never did. Rachel was able to fix this. FINALLY, everything was out. I told Mike the junk guys were here, I gave him the unit number, he said he would mark that it was empty and everything was done, I should just leave the door open. Instead, a letter TO MY HUSBAND came to the house saying that there was a lock missing on the last unit, and he needed to come in and arrange for a new lock. Rachel fixed that, too. Because my husband had other units around Chester County, I know this is not how things are done elsewhere. For example, Mike told me there were no "master keys" -- but at other companies, they had master keys. Also, other storage facilities have arrangements with auctioneers, and I just turned over the units, and they sold what they could and kept the money. Mike told me they didn't do that at Public Storage, but one day when I was there, he told me he was waiting for an auctioneer. The only thing Mike ever said to me that I'm sure was honest was when he was putting oil in his car, and told me his car ran through oil on a regular basis. If I needed storage space in the future, and Rachel was in charge, I'd use Public Storage since it's nearby. But Mike???? YIKES -- I would give him negative stars if I could.
