Donald and Kip were super helpful! I don't have a unit at this location but it is the closest one to my house so I go there often pay the bill on a unit in another area. They are always very friendly and gave me some good recommendations related to moving to a closer facility. ... Read more

I recently contacted Public Storage regarding a billing inquiry and spoke with the property manager, Kip. I asked whether he was new to the team, given his level of professionalism. Kip provided clear explanations concerning a charge reflected on my statement, which I greatly appreciated. Having rented a unit at this location for several years, I have had less-than-satisfactory experiences with the previous staff. However, Kip's exceptional service has given me hope for continued improvement at this facility. Thank you, Kip, for your professionalism and support. ... Read more

This place is HORRIBLE it’s infested with roaches and mice possibly rats! I rented this storage unit out to store my entire 3 bedroom house. When I say everything in my unit is ruined. Picture books clothes furniture washer has roaches inside mattress are soaked with piss and feces. Couches dressers vanity’s bed frames are all saturated in urine and piss. TVs that are in boxes have roaches in the boxes. The unit is ruined like everything I worked hard to get is Gone! Unit went up almost $200 in a year. Which is insane! I put in a claim and was told that my claim couldn’t be excepted at this time as I thought I had a bottle of Tylenol inside of of a bin inside my unit!!!! What a joke! Then the crazy part is there is a huge space/hole in the ceiling that pest are crawling in and out of. But it’s my fault because I didn’t find a unit with climate control. I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND A SOUL to store anything at this facility it’s needs to be condemned. Basically I would of been better off throwing my belongs in the trash ... Read more

Infestation; rent increased over $100 in a year with minimal explanation and no callback; staff earned the two stars that I gave to this place. Because this location poorly represents Public Storage as an entity, I will no longer use Public Storage's services after I retrieve what has not been ruined by mice. ... Read more

Public Storage was the best place to temporarily 'park' my things until I was able to situate into a new home. It was one of my best experiences! Kee assisted me with all I needed to get done to store my things and complete the rental agreement. She was professional, responsive to my questions, explained the process and documentation required to store my things in the rental unit The storage area was safe, clean, temperature controlled and my things were well taken care of. The process to store and remove my things from the facility was quick, easy and painless. Kee is certainly one of Public Storage's premier Ambassadors of Customer Service and deserves recognition for being such an exceptional employee! She exemplifies Public Storage's Core Values... she "cares about the customer". Thank you! ... Read more

This location is INFESTED with mice and roaches. The property manager does NOT notify tenants of the mice and roach infestation. The property manager does NOT allow you to speak with a district manager to submit a complaint. The property manager will tell you, “that’s why you have insurance” in regard to your belongings being infested with pests. The property manager will tell you that you’re NOT ALLOWED to use the dumpster to throw out the belongings that got infested with pests at this location. The property manager will NOT give you a name, a number, or an email address to the district manager let alone her first and last name. This is the most UNPROFESSIONAL storage until I have ever been serviced by! Tenants here are VERY NASTY AND DIRTY! If you care about your clothes, electronics, and belongings do NOT put your stuff here! Use Metro Storage on Island Avenue instead! Contacting the news stations about them! I had to throw EVERYTHING away! THANKS TO THE PHILADELPHIA POLICE ASSISTING ME I KNOW THAT THE PROPERTY MANAGER NAME IS TINA KING! ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
