Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 1701 Woodruff Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I had an excellent experience with Public Storage in Mauldin, SC! The facility is clean, well-lit, and feels very secure. Sibbie was professional, friendly, and made the entire rental process quick and stress-free. She answered all my questions clearly and made sure I got the right unit size for my needs. Move-in was smooth, access is convenient, and the property is very well maintained. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for reliable and affordable storage in the Mauldin area! ... First of all my storage unit went up tremendously high but even after that my account had gotten delinquent due to me not working so I called customer service about options I had. The first rep said that a GM would reach out to me to discuss my options this was on 9/20/25. I never heard from anyone. I called back on 9/22/25 a different representative told me the same thing that a GM would reach back out to me by 9/23/25. No call. So the property manager reached out to me on 9/23/25 and said that there were no options available. So I explained to her what (2) different reps had told me about the GM returning a call to me and that they would be the only one that could make any kind of arrangements. The property manager said that I was misinformed. My question is how does (2) totally different reps tell me the same thing and btw I recorded the conversation with there knowledge and she still repeated the same thing they gave out wrong information. How can a company operate misinforming the customers. It’s completely deceptive. And also anytime you try to call that location you’re neverrrrrrrrrr able to get anyone on the phone. Make it make sense!!!! Of course as a consumer we have a price to pay to rent but it should be reciprocated on their end how they treat customers. So would I recommend renting from them absolutely not. Just start doing research about these companies!!!!! ... Read more

I was nervous about finding the right size unit for my things and Sonya was the perfect God-send. She sat bright and attentive behind the front desk, and was willing to tour me around a few different units to help me find the best fit for me. We easily signed through all the paperless-work and she showed me how to interact with the facility. 10/10 customer service. ... Read more

I had been trying to call them about my account and I left a voicemail 3 times. They never called! I had to go in person! The guy said we tried to call you I showed him my call log and he said “you could have just deleted it” what kind of sense does that make that I would delete where you tried to call me if I've called 4 times and left 3 voicemails trying to speak to a real person. Shady nonsense, and gaslighting. ... Read more

Niki was great and so helpful! Super patient with my super active 5 year old who was with me and asking LOTS of questions! She even let us in early to help us open up an account. Facility is decent and pricing is reasonable. A little disappointed about some ongoing issues with the doors. Some get stuck and some don’t work from the outside with the code. Otherwise, a good overall storage facility and experience. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 1701 Woodruff Road has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 1701 Woodruff Road can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 20 to 300 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 1701 Woodruff Road come at a variety of prices, starting from $15 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $290 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
