Move in was easy, Rachel was highly responsive and helpful, and the price was much better than our previous place for a bigger unit. The location is easy to get in and out of so we are happy we switched. ... Read more

My experience is that not all storage places are the same. I've used them in five different states, and Public Storage at 290 Rocky Creek Rd is head and shoulders above the rest in my view. Easy entry and exit. Very neat and clean surroundings, good security, very reasonable rates, and the customer service of all the staff has been 10 out of 10. Rachel deserves honorable mention. ... Rachel called me to notify us our card was not accepted (we did get a new card and forgot to update Public Storage). She was very polite and courteous….something you don’t receive too much in our negative rush rush world! She walked through the steps with me on how I can add it to the app and she also sent me a link as another option. She was very patient! She helped me delay our rent increase. Very nice experience with her and Public Storage! ... Read more

I experienced the best customer service here from Vita! She greeted me warmly right when I entered the facility, and she helped walk me through everything I needed to submit to get my lock removed from my unit because I couldn’t find the key. She made sure my request was submitted that day and even called me while she was working at a different location to let me know my request had been fulfilled. Did I mention this all happened over a holiday weekend? Yeahhh, I was super surprised and extremely grateful because that saved me from owing another month’s worth of rent since I had submitted my request only 2 days before the month was ending! Amazing experience, and I felt she truly went above and beyond that day to help me! ... Read more

At 1st I had a great experience and then I guess the regular lady who is there through the week heavy set white female running the office. For someone reason she felt the need to keep watching me and my family. I came to her asked her about storage treasures and when I was all for it and started getting furniture to go in a unit. She kept coming down constantly and checking on us but not in a good way. She did it so much my kids and wife started too noticed. I came yesterday the 1st time she was talking to someone at a unit that was close bye the gate. I pull up to put my code in I thought something was wrong with the gate the she sat there and didn't move i literally had to put the code in and move toward and her friend so she finally moved. I spoke then a few minutes later she rolled up on us we spoke again not knowing she was up to something. I had 3 people coming bye to pick furniture up they had purchased. The 3rd time she rolled back up while we was loading his truck up and her and her friend just Sat there looking so I ask how was she then she started talking about how many times I been in and out. I was confused because that's what your supposed to do if your moving furniture around. At that time I was upset then because she was acting like I was doing something wrong and iin front of my customer was even more embarrassing. I tried to play it off bye telling her I met the nice lady who rented the unit. And we and talked about other things and she started going off script and saying what all I needed to do to be able to do if I wanted to clean out storage units. I was thinking the lady already explained to me that but she was much nicer explaining. That lady was acting like she wanted someone to respond rudely so it could get something started. I call another facility and they explained to me it wasn't a limit on how many times I can come in to my unit. So if that's how she gonna be in rather move my stuff to another place who want assume people are doing things or whatever jer and friends problems was her friend didn't say much but the fact that she counted the 3 times I went into my unit and my daily was with me and furniture outside my door I don't understand what she thought we was doing she had to constantly keep popping up. But said nothing to the weird guy at the end who definitely was looking suspicious with smell coming out. But bothering us who was clearly working and nothing else. If I do move I need to be refunded the cost of having to move because it's a inconvenience and I only been there maybe 2 wewks ... Read more

Rachel was very sweet and super super helpful! I would most definitely recommend this location and most of all Rachel even got a better unit and cheaper all because of her letting me know about it because it wasn't online when I was looking! If I could give more than 5 stars I without a doubt would send 10 Platinum stars Rachel's way! So with that being said...THANK YOU VERYVMUCH RACHEL AND MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!! ... Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 290 Rocky Creek Road has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
