New edit 03/03/26: I received a call from a Dana at public storage yesterday. In her voicemail she requested a call back. I was at work but was able to call her back not even an hour later and had to leave a message. Then today I receive a text saying I have an outstanding balance and I need to pay. It’s the 3rd day of march how am I already past due? So I texted the number back saying yes to pay for this “outstanding balance”. I get an immediate text back saying it’s being processed and I will receive an email of confirmation. Nothing in my bank shows it being processed. And of course no livable person is there to answer the phone so I had to leave ANOTHER message for this Dana to call me back. I’m at a loss Edit: I received a call from the district manager Jacob and he helped explain the price increase. The notification was actually mailed to me and I missed that communication. However Jacob was nice enough to reduce my payment back down and also gave me a $50 credit. Truly grateful for this and his customer service! I was honestly surprised a real live person called to speak with me on my issues. Thank you again Mr. Jacob! My bill originally was $129 a month after only having it for 4 months they jacked up the price to $176….never had that happen before at a storage facility. I don’t comprehend why the price jump. ... Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
