The lady who is managing the business, Jessy is great. She was extremely helpful with finding us the correct size storage unit. We moved to the area and had no idea if needed a very large space to store our stuff as we were shopping for a new home or if we need something smaller. She did not try to up seek us on a bigger size that we did not need. She made sure we would be comfortable in a smaller size unit and had access to everything, which saved us quite a bit of money. Jessy you are great. Thank you ... Read more

BEWARE!!! We rented 2ea 10x20 units for 16 months at $180 and $162 per month ($342/mo) paid 1 month in advance. We cleared the $162 unit 3 days before the end of the period and the $180 unit 14 days prior to the end of the period. We requested a refund for the 14 unused days on the $180 unit and they refused to consider our request. After sitting on the phone for 12 minutes waiting for a response, the on-site manager (I believe his name is Danny), who was obviously listening to the call unannounced, raised his voice and asked me if I had read the contract. I told him I had not since signing it 1-1/2 years ago. However, I asked him to do the right thing and make a partial refund. He became enraged and told me he would not deal with "people like me". Whatever that meant. Bottom line? The units are nice but very expensive. Similar quality can be found throughout Knoxville, at a much lower price, without the "drama" associated with dealing with this character. If you should decide to rent from Hardin Valley, DO NOT turn in your lock and keys until the very last day of the period. They will not refund the unused portion of your rent and will immediately rent the unit(s) out to their next unfortunate customer, pocketing the double rent in the process, at your expense. ... A tad bit more pricey than I'd like to spend for a 5x8, but it was available to me when I needed it for a short time to store my belongings right before moving to a new place. The 24-hr access is great. The live on-site property manager, Danny is amazing. If he's not at the office due to his lunch/dinner break, he's still just a quick phone call away. Every time I've been in & out of the property, I've always felt safe. There are tons of bright lights and security cameras. The location is a peach as well, literally only a 2 mins drive from the Pellississppi Hwy/Hardin Valley exit. Please keep in mind that none of the units have overhead lights inside and since these are all outdoor units, they may be incline to have bugs/insects enter your room. In my case, my unit faced the back lot adjacent to the storm river overflow- which is possibly why I had many stink bugs squatters. Other than that, in the short time frame I was there, I highly will highly recommend you check out what they have to offer you for your storage needs. Please tell Danny I said "Hello". ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Hardin Valley Storage - 10241 Hardin Valley Road has to offer. These amenities include 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Hardin Valley Storage - 10241 Hardin Valley Road can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 50 to 250 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Hardin Valley Storage - 10241 Hardin Valley Road come at a variety of prices, starting from $90 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $190 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
