Read some helpful reviews of Devon Self Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Update after my review: I've got ahold of Lauren who helped get my account settled. She was polite and professional unlike Demetrius was previously. Changed ownership twice in the 9 years I've rented a storage unit from this location. The new corporation who bought it did not send me any information about change of ownership. So, without this knowledge, I continued to make payments to the old company for over two months before the old company shut down their client portal. Then, when I went to make my payment for the next month the site was shut down. I immediately started trying to call the "site management" phone number but it was disconnected. I searched online for another number and found the google listing for the business and located another number. I called that number to find that it was to Devon Storage, the new company who now owns it. The new company (Devon Storage) cannot see my payments that have been made. They are now requiring me to provide all bank statements to show payments were made to the old company. They have threatened to sell my personal property in four days. I have requested an itemized statement several times over the last three weeks and have yet to receive one. In calling Devon Storage I have spoken with four different people about my account. One called me about 10 days ago and told me she would get me an itemized statement and she would talk with her supervisor to explain the situation to get some of the late fees and lien fees waived. She said she would call me back in the next day or so at that time. I never heard back from her. Two days ago I received a call from the billing dept in South Carolina from Devon Storage. The lady I spoke with said she sees the issue and will send to a supervisor to call me. The next day I received a call from a man named Demetrius. He said he was the "site manager". He demanded that I provide proof that I had paid the two months rent in question. I explained to him I had been a renter of a storage unit there at that facility for 9 years and that I had never had an issue like this. He told me I could pay $880 which was $355 more than I should owe and he would waive the requirement to show proof of payment and waive the added fees. I explained to him I didn't owe but $525 to begin with and that I would be willing to pay that. I also for an itemized statement to be provided to me. Demetrius, stated that he wasn't going to provide that to me. That I had a choice to pay the $880 or provide proof for the missed payments and my contents in my storage unit will be auctioned off. I explained to him I had a written lease with the prior company and hadn't received anything from Devon Storage so I didn't have a lease with them and they had to honor my lease with the previous owner. I am a real estate broker and know that a new owner of the property has to honor any current leases. He threatened me again with selling my contents at auction. He also told me he wasn't willing to do anything to stop the sell of my contents. I told him I was not paying anything but what was owed. I asked him where I could pay that and he said he could only take a payment for the arbitrary number he threw out there of $880. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he said he wasn't going to let me. I asked for his supervisors name and once again he refused to provide that. I then asked for the new owners corporate phone number. He refused to provide that. Since I don't have anything from Devon Storage I don't have any contact information nor online instructions to make ay type of payment as where I was paying with the previous owners portal that no longer is operational. Then I asked for the corporate office's email and he refused to provide that. He demanded all communication via phone and email go to him and he would forward it as needed once he reviewed it. Someone with Devon Storage Corporate please call me 615-403-4421. If any other tenants of this storage facility has had similar issues please respond or call me directly. I am leaving only a one star because the last few time I have gone my property stored at the Red Dot in Mt Juliet TN, the gates were wide open and stayed open - leaving everyone’s property unsecured. I have tried calling the phone number listed at the site but it is disconnected. There is a different number on their website but nobody ever answers (I’ve tried calling many times). Additionally there is no email that I can find to report this issue to. I hope someone from Red Dot finds this review and is able to get the gate fixed and change the number to a working one. ...
