Not happy that the amenities of the facility have gone down while unit prices have gone up. Also, beware if you change your gate code, it may still work, so confirm after changing codes. I have priced other options and will be moving in the next 30 days for much better rates. ... Read more

Just would like to let everyone in the community know that if you ever need a place to store your belongings and want to know if they will be Secured And Safe in the place you have chosen, be it months (like I thought it would be??) or years like it turned into to being. This is the place, I needed a air conditioned unit and a outside storage for my belongings from a hurricane(we won't go into that, we know Texas and its hurricanes?? Michelle the onsite Manager is the most understanding, kind, customer service person I have met in storage facilities. To most your just a Unit number and bill account. After all the years of dealing with customers and the problems that arise(including mine) she always treated me with respect and personal attention. My time with Cypress Storage has come to an end,its been a good haul since 2011,never problems with rodents or other issues due to farrow cats, that protect property inadvertantly. That's not in there control,I'm Ok with that. So don't take my review advise or do,Try them out,You decide. ... Read more

I've used Cypress Storage for almost 4 years now. I have never experienced any problems with them. Michelle is exceptional at her job and managing this facility. When I am getting close to being late on a payment she calls to remind me. If I am late on a payment the late fees are very reasonable. The prices, in my opinion, are better than everyone else and they notify you far in advance if there is going to be a price increase. In the 4 years I have only experienced two price increases and they were minimal. They have a variety of different size units available as well as some climate controlled. The units are clean and easily accessible. I had only planned on having my stuff there for a few months. But because they are such good people I decided to continue using them for storage instead of piling all my stuff in my garage. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.
