Read some helpful reviews of Fairfield Mini Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Houston Mini Storage in Fairfield has been my go-to storage facility for many years (Seven years). I’ve had both interior and exterior units and neither had given me any issues whatsoever. The staff ,,, especially BJ has been a pleasure to work with. Since we did not like having our credit card payment on autopayment it was a monthly courtesy call from the staff that gave us the ability to pay before any late fees were applied and gave us an update on the condition of the units. Since we now live quite a distance away and we would see potential storms come through the area we would question to see if our goods were still in great shape when the storms would pass. We were always happy to get the reassurance that everything was in great shape. With them going the extra mile assured us we selected the best place to store our little treasures until we could come pick them up. We recently picked up a 26 ft truck and gathered our remaining inventory and was very pleased with the condition of everything (no dust, no bugs, rats, and the units were very cool in the inside units). The area was also very well lit both inside and outside, and all entrances gates were fully operational. If we ever need storage units in the area ever again I would not hesitate and nor would I consider any other place but Houston Mini Storage for my needs. ... Read more

I have had one or two storage units here since 2018. The facility is clean, secure, convenient, and has easily maneuverable grounds and nice entrance/exit. There is on site management, which adds to the security and convenience. The prices are reasonable. The on site manager, BJ, Is very kind and helpful. ... Read more

Great super clean storage place! We checked out three others near Fairfield. This one is the best run of the four. BJ, the manager, is an outstanding person with years of experience. She makes sure the facility is spotless, both inside the units and on the grounds. Best storage facility in the area. ... Read more

Nice, clean rental office with a friendly staff. Best prices in the area on RV storage and very secure. Easy access and 24 hour in/out if needed. Updated: Management decided that they would make more money by removing the RV/vehicle storage area in the back and gave us one month to vacate. Although half of the month was free, a longer notice would have been nice. I brought up the issue of water pooling in front of my site a few times and nothing was ever done to fix the issue. ... Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods.
