Read some helpful reviews of 10 Federal Self Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

This is a very clean and organized storage facility. I stored my household goods in a climate controlled unit for the past 5 months with no incidents. I met and spoke to Ryan on several occasions while I was in/out of my unit. Yesterday, I was removing my last few items out of my unit and I lost my keys. When I pulled up to my unit I saw Ryan and asked him if he know how I could remove my lock since I lost my keys. Ryan did not hesitate and said he can remove my lock. After 10 minutes my lock was removed and I was able to retrieve the remainder of my items. Ryan even asked if he could assist me in finishing loading my vehicle. Top Notch Service! ... Read more

It wasn’t the agent’s fault that he couldn’t personally fully solve my problem since it involved some other steps or contacts to do that! But he was extremely helpful in pointing me in the right direction and providing information needed! He definitely deserves five stars for his customer service and thoughtfulness!! ... Read more

I advise against renting from 10 Federal Storage. When I originally signed up for my unit under "Princeton Storage", it was marketed as having power available—something that was essential for my needs. The previous management allowed tenants to use the power outlets in their units, and there was no indication that this would change. However, after 10 Federal Storage took over, they cut off power without any notice. When I reached out for clarification, they informed me that power is "not part of the rental agreement" and that they would not restore it. Their failure to communicate such a major change during the transition is completely unacceptable. I repeatedly requested a resolution and was led to believe that they would send someone out to restore power, yet nothing was done. With freezing temperatures on the way, this was a critical issue, but they showed no concern for their tenants. 10 Federal Storage has demonstrated poor management, a lack of communication, and zero accountability. ... Have been renting here for a little over a year and honestly I am so thankful we made the switch from Public Storage to Princeton Storage. They genuinely care about you, your belongings, and your experience. Go see Josh, and tell him Rebekah sent you. He’ll take great care of you. He’s the best! ... Read more

I moved my things to Princeton Storage because it's a minute from my home. However, I think this is more of a commercial rental place than it is for a residential customer. My unit is one of the outdoor units so it may be a little different for the inside ones. Every time I opened my unit, I had to take a broom to clean it all out before I entered. There were always spider webs, crickets, all sorts of beetles, and most recently, a turd from a rodent. The walls do not extend to the top of the unit allowing anything from next unit (bed bugs, roaches, mice, etc.) to just come on over. Like I said, I don't know about the inside units, but the outside ones are not household friendly ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

At 10 Federal Self Storage - 949 South Beauchamp Blvd, available security amenities may include Security Camera, Gate, designed to help keep your items protected.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.

For safety reasons, most self storage facilities restrict certain items. These commonly include:

    • Hazardous, flammable, or toxic materials
    • Perishable food
    • Live plants or animals
    • Cash, firearms, or irreplaceable valuables
