What customers are saying

3.8/5 - 12 Reviews

Read some helpful reviews of Schumacher Mini Storage at 2812 Terrace Heights Drive, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I used to love this place and have had rented a unit previously in the past and had a great experience but during my moving process the beginning of this year i returned back to hold my items in safekeeping, i was paying late and have accumulated 2 late fees in total of $30 which i called to ask about. My unit is $69 which means i had to pay $99 to be caught up, i had no issue paying the late fees since it is my responsibility but the lady at the desk was so rude, constantly talking over me, tried to charge me an additional $110 when i had already paid for January and February but needed to pay for the month of March but proceeded to say i had to pay $209 to be caught up and when i was explaining to her that her math is incorrect and how i have receipts for me paying January and February she had proceeded to tell me that i talk to much and i just don't like what she had to say that she is right and even the computer was saying she was correct. She proceeded to argue with me over the phone until she finally drew out a calendar and i met her in person did she realize that i was correct about the total in the first place. On the phone i was constantly asking to speak with a boss or someone else in which she refused saying she was the only one. In person she had mentioned how she paid someones $55 late fees because they were so upset and couldn't pay it that even her boss didn't know about it and how she cant pay everyones late fees. I had told her i never asked for her to pay my late fees and that i called to know about my late fees so i could pay it all today. She proceeded to mention how i need to pay for the month of April already which my payments are due every month on the 17th and already telling me how she knows im gonna pay it late. Paying was never the issue i just wanted to know the total so i can pay it correctly. This is extremely unprofessional of her and i will be removing my things and not returning. She tried charging me an additional $110 for a total of $209 when i only needed to pay $99 to be caught up. My rent isn't due until the 17th which even then it would only be $169 if i chose to pay it early so im not sure where she even got $209 . Be cautious if you’re gonna rent here and always do your own math since the lady is incapable of doing simple math. UPDATE: It is not about the late fees. As i mentioned i admit to that being my fault and wanting to pay the amount due including late fees. The issue was being told a different amount on the phone and being disrespected and once she finally did the math on paper it was the correct amount that i was trying to tell her in the beginning. I recorded when i came in and she admits to giving me a false total on the phone but that does not change the fact that because she was “frustrated” for her attitude to be taken out on me when i was trying to help her with the math for the correct amount. I am all paid up with my late fees so that was never the issue and not the reasoning for my review. Thank you ... Read more

Not happy with this company. I pay money every month to store my personal property in a DRY and safe space. However, due to lack of seal on their doors and snow on the property, the snow has melted and caused water damage inside my unit and ruined property. For some reason there is no responsibility from the company to help replace those items. Kim knew that it was a normal occurrence for water to enter the unit but FAILED to mention that to me. Had I known, I would not have given them my business. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Schumacher Mini Storage - 2812 Terrace Heights Drive has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Schumacher Mini Storage - 2812 Terrace Heights Drive can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 45 to 490 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Schumacher Mini Storage - 2812 Terrace Heights Drive come at a variety of prices, starting from $65 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $298 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
