So this post is for public storage in its entirety . This was the absolute worst year of storage I've ever had . When I initially purchased my unit..the amount was 121.00 for 10x10 , which in my opinion is high but it was across the street from my new place. 4 months later my bill went up to 161.00. I asked why and I was told , just because. They have the right. So that was a shock to me. Moving along. I slipped up with a payment and was 4 days late. There was a 25.00 late fee and 50.00 lien fee added just after 4 days of being late. I understand policies but now my monthly payment came out to be over 200 dollars with 15.00 insurance. I feel like public storage is sharks , and if life happens ?? And you are maybe a single mom and you maybe forget to make a payment added 4 days. You will get charged about 75.00 more dollars. Plus insurance . Its absolutely ridiculous . I've moved to EXTRA SPACE storage and its been an amazing experience so far. The units are so much cheaper, they are more flexible if life happens . I recommend you do ample research in your area for other storage units before choosing public storage . ... Read more

So I accidentally bought the wrong size unit, When I spoke with the representative over the phone she explained all I would have to do was stop in the office and switch things over …When I arrived the representative who helped me was so friendly so professional and so timely. I had read reviews before hand and everyone kept praising a young lady named Cassandra and sure enough that’s exactly who helped me. Cassandra was AWESOME!!!! Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
