Building is clean and relatively easy to access. The storage unit is very damp and many of our items stored however, had mold and mildew resulting is thousands of dollars of items that needed to be discarded. I would not store valuable items here again. ... Read more

Would highly recommend Grafton Self Storage. The facility was very clean and well-lit. Security was good with the access code. It was easy to load the unit with the provided carts and access to the loading dock. The rate was very reasonable, especially with the discounts offered. Emmy was a pleasure to work with and very responsive to questions. Thank you! ... Read more

Tbe manager was very accommodating and lovely to talk to.... it's brand new and easily accessible. BUT.... Now four years later there are some new owners.... Units are great but........ My monthly rate has increased $47 a month in less than a year.... Which is outrageous..... My storage is long-term and I have been there since they were first built and to have the rate increased to that degree? I'm 82 and I can't just pop in and take my stuff out of there easily.... I like the facility but they are out pricing me ???? He suggested I call and we talk... Having two raises within 9 months and actual total is $45 is uncalled for... And we are forced to pay $12 extra a month for insurance...... my daughter will help me pay for the unit and then when the weather gets nicer I'm pulling my stuff out of there.. I don't trust what they are going to do next year.. my apartment rent didn't even go up this much and . I don't trust them now.. .. ... Read more

Worst ever customer service-lost information that I provided them for insurance. The online portal will not let me pay online. The manager never calls you back. There are rodents here. Bad decision to pay online. The manager did not take off my present bill and I tried to speak to someone higher up and that did not work either. I have had the insurance for the entire time I rented and the rude manager will not take off the extra insurance they applied. The online portal does not recognize my email so how to pay the bill? ... Read more

Very difficult to access. There is literally ALWAYS some large semi truck or box truck blocking all tenants access to their units, no matter what day you try to go, weekends, weekdays, it doesn’t matter. As there is only one entry door, when it’s blocked, you simply can’t get in. Big trucks keep parking there even though there is a nice loading dock, nobody seems to use it. Extremely frustrating if you need access to your stuff. All the carts get hogged up as well leaving nothing to use. Nice building overall, prices are average, most areas dimly lit, security and cleanliness are both good though, even has bathrooms which is nice. Overall I would not recommend, as there are several other facilities nearby that have regular drive-up units and many are also heated. With improvements this could be a nice place, but I left due to these ongoing issues. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
