Read some helpful reviews of Evans Self Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I have had the same issue as someone else left. I come by on Friday when they are supposed to be open at 9 and the side gate is closed. Then I have the same issue on Saturday as well. I have had this issue before like a month ago except the side gate was closed for the entire day of Friday and Saturday. I have no clue what is happen and there is no note to explain anything that is happening which makes it more infuriating. So are they just closed those days or someone not working? They should have a note or something to explain what is going on. This is poor customer service on their part. ... Read more

I have been having issues recently with trying to contact or stop by the office on Fridays and Saturdays. The office gate is closed, no one answers the door, or I just can't get ahold of anyone there. This is happening when the office should be open according to their posted hours. I never have issues on the other days they are open but my work scheduled change so Friday or Saturday is the time I have to get things taken care of. Don't waste your time trying to get a hold of someone or stop by the office on Fridays or Saturdays. Just go on one of the other days the office is open and you will be fine. ... Read more

Pros: Close by me, friendly & helpful staff, reasonable rates for the first 3 months, if you do the paperwork online. Cons: It takes 20 minutes or more to fill out the rental agreement. You have to enter the same information several times, as you move through the paperwork. I got a "Welcome" email with a different gate code than what I got at signup. The code the email had didn't work. The original one does. ... Read more

Staff is friendly, signing up is easy. Just be warned, unlike other storage units, which will go for more than one missed payment before they threaten you with auctioning off your things, Evan’s self storage did in fact only allow for one missed payment before scheduling the unit I had with them for auction. As long as you don’t have any life altering things that cause you not to be able to pay it should be fine, but just beware that should anything cause you not to be able to pay, there is no real grace period with them because they don’t care. ... I've was a tenant at Evans Self Storage for over four years, and unfortunately, my experience has been less than satisfactory. One of the most frustrating aspects is the constant increase in rent amount every three months despite making improvements to the services or quality of the units. It feels like a never-ending cycle of price hikes. Furthermore, the security measures at this facility are severely lacking. Despite assurances of safety, I've witnessed several instances of suspicious activity around the premises. This lack of security makes me question the safety of my belongings stored there. With this concern, I only visit during broad daylight. Adding to the dissatisfaction is the inadequate lighting within the storage units. Navigating through poorly lit unit poses a significant safety risk, especially during late hours or early mornings. Moreover, the office hours and availability are incredibly inconvenient. It's frustrating to encounter closed doors when I need assistance or have inquiries to make. This lack of accessibility reflects poorly on the overall customer service experience. Additionally, the maintenance of the driveway during snowy conditions is subpar. The lack of proper snow removal makes accessing the facility a hazardous ordeal, risking the safety to customers despite the increase in rent amounts. In conclusion, Evans Self Storage has consistently failed to meet basic expectations regarding rent stability, security, lighting, customer service availability, and facility maintenance. I would strongly advise potential customers to explore other storage options before considering this facility. ... Read more
