Read some helpful reviews of K-K Self Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I have rented here over the years. I have had a lot of problems with this place. Especially with the old owners , man do I have some stories about my experience with them. However, in regards to the new owners. I will admit. The place isn't as sketchy as it was , however it still is. The worst part now is, there's nobody to talk to in the office. No one is ever working there. I was almost hit once by a u haul trailer that just came rolling across the parking lot on its own . Thank God I had just moved my vehicle moments before. But I had ran home to grab another item to put in storage and as I was pulling up to the key pad , I stopped in the nick of time to avoid some serious damage to myself or my vehicle. I tried to address it with someone at this place . But again there is nobody to talk to . I've left notes on the office door , I've called and left messages. But whomever owns or runs this place, obviously doesn't care and refuses to get back to me. Me and some other random person had to move the trailer by ourselves and put rocks in front of the tire. I've had flooding issues with my unit but I guess it's my problem for renting here. The storage unit door likes to randomly just slam shut and tries to crush you. It would take very little effort to fix that issue. It'll probably seriously injure someone someday. I don't fix it because I don't want to be the one liable for it even though I'm capable of doing so. But again there's no one to actually report the problem to. And now I am being denied access to my storage and I don't know why. I've always made my payments and on time. I abide by all these new policies that keep coming up with. And now I just can't access my storage and there's no one to call there's no one to talk to and no one will return our calls or emails. I'm pretty sure whoever owns the place or runs it probably doesn't even live in this state. But it sure would be nice to get a call back from them. Or if they would return our emails. Or if they actually had an employee there to talk to during their office business hours as they claim. This place has no problem taking your money but good luck with any customer service or trying to gain access to your stuff or even move your stuff out cuz they don't care and have no customer service whatsoever. So what the old owners at least there was someone to talk to and help you if you need it. ... Read more

Owner is disrespectful and will not do the right thing. Think twice before renting here. Gate hours are 7-7, which if you work doesn’t leave much time. If you are in the facility after 7pm you get $100+ fine per occurrence. I had paid for my space then was reading through the contract and decided not to finalize it pending clarification of gate hours. I’ll admit I was confused, on the website it says 24/7. I received clarification from the owner that that pertains to rent 24/7 online not 24/7 access. Which is misleading. Any way I work 15 hour days and own a business so this obviously wasn’t going to work for me, as the reason I was looking for 24/7 parking space. I went to try and resolve this with the owner and he was rude arrogant and talked over me so I matched his energy and wasn’t nice back. I offered to pay the few days it has been since reading over the contract. He refused to give me a refund as I will not be using the space. He mentioned I won’t charge you for next month but you can sign a legal document to end the contract in 30 days. I asked him to do the ight thing and his idea of the right thing was to follow a contract instead of refunding the money. Even flipped me off. He mentioned he owns 54 locations and I’m sure that’s where the arrogance comes into play. Any way I wouldn’t rent or recommend this place to friends and family as the service is not up to par and the reaction was shocking to say the least. I wasn’t on my best behavior but hey respect is earned. Seems like a consistent issue with this guy. Added pictures of other reviews but see for yourself. ... Read more

HORRIBLE … pay the higher price and rent from any other place but K&K Storage. The manager / owner is the rudest, arrogant, egotistical man ever. . I seen a payment pending on my bank acct for $220 this morning. I gave over 30 day notice when I also reserved and paid for a U Haul truck on August 23rd. I called this morning to talk about this charge, the manager started yelling at me and told me to SHUT UP several times and called me a liar 3 times during the conversation. He has no idea how his website works … you contact the company on their website and it converts it to email. On the website it says “Friendly Staff” what a farce. I have filed a complaint with BBB and wanted to warn others about this company, you will NOT save money in the long run.. they will continue to charge you. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE ... Read more

We pick them because of their lower prices. But we were charged 71 days after we called to cancel. Any money we saved we lost. We have moved all around the US both in the military and as civilians and have never had someone try harder to find ways to cheat you out of money. It's sad that places like this exist. ... Read more

If I could I would give this place 0 stars. they are rude there is never anyone in the office we moved out of our storage after giving them a 30 day notice. They tried to charge my card for the rent which went up from 160 to 310 after a year which we were also unaware of. They do not have good communication skills or the courtesy to let their customers know about any changes. I went in today to close the account and do the walk through and the person there refused to do the walk through. I have never had these kinds of issues with any of the other storage places I have rented from. very bad business. ... Read more

I’ll echo what everyone else has said. DO NOT rent here. We have had an empty unit there for 30+ days, gave notice 3 months ago, and did the final walk. Today we were charged for another month because he “doesn’t prorate months”? That doesn’t make sense, the unit has been empty, I’m not paying for another month of an empty unit. Disputing with the bank. The practices of this company are so shady. ... Read more

Posted on the U-Haul Page as well. Here with an update - they DID double charge the card mentioned in the original review. Egregious. If Zero was a recommendation - they have definitely earned it. The fraud department of my bank is handling this now. ---- The reservation I placed, through a phone call with U-Haul directly, was magically cancelled upon arrival and not by me. The attendant could see the original reservation (because I had a reservation # and confirmation email) and there were pick up location specific comments added to it. They had to make a "new reservation" on-site and the amount I was quoted almost doubled. Criminal. Needed the vehicle for less than 2 hours and it took 30 minutes to get the actual vehicle. The exterior of the vehicle was muddy. The interior was dusty. The attendant asked for my phone number three times, made me read out loud my credit card number, handed me one sheet of a three page contract, didn't provide a copy or a receipt, and was genuinely one of the worst employees I've dealt with in a very, very long time. I will definitely not be recommending this location to anyone (and if my information is compromised best believe there will be consequences) but genuine disappointment with U-Haul stands as well. The first reservation I attempted to place through the website, I called the location to confirm and they didn't have the vehicle at all and wouldn't have anything even available at all for four days. That company was the one that told me to call U-Haul directly to place the reservation that magically disappeared. Ridiculous. Never again. ... Read more
