Had a really good experience within my two month time in the unit. The staff were really helpful for first timers and they sent out multiple emails reminding of the due date to pay for the unit. While my storage unit was up high they did have a stable ladder to use to bring up and higher up in the storage unit?? ... Read more

I did not have trouble finding their pricing, easily displayed on their website & also it's on display at their front desk as well. The prices seem high to me, but I don't think it's Big Apple's problem I think it's more a Manhattan problem. The manager was extremely helpful & thorough with policies, and showed me the different spaces available and told me how much each cost. He helped me figure out which one worked best. There is a 5-day notice where you need to let them know 5 days prior to your last day or they will charge you another month, but that's better than my last place which required a 14-day notice, so I'm okay with that. They also don't prorate your last month, which I also think is pretty standard. Overall, I really like the space, seemed well taken care of & the manager was great. I will update if there are any issues. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
