Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 2121 South Interstate 35, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

This place is honestly the best storage spot in Austin. The units are super clean, no bugs or mold ever which is a big deal for me. Everything’s always working like it should, elevator runs smooth every time. Jessica’s helped me out a bunch setting up our units—she’s awesome, super friendly and just makes the whole process easy. Lupe’s newer but he’s great too, really attentive and made sure everything went smooth. Didn’t miss a beat. Highly recommend this place if you need storage. Can’t go wrong here. ... Read more

DO NOT RENT HERE. - In a year we rented here our unit was flooded AND broken into. Had to change unit after the flood and they were not able to offer matching pricing on a new space. The insurance they offer is absolutely USELESS. - Increased out rent more after we took a smaller space for a higher price due to the flooding. They claimed it was the weather but there was no rain or flooding before that. - The managers and staff are nowhere to be found and we could not get ahold of the office or the property when the unit was broken into and we needed to gain access DURING THEIR BUSINESS HOURS, no one ever even returned any calls or messages. Had to call and pay the locksmith myself. - Constantly found BUGS AND ROACHES in our belongings. - Had to pay a full month rent because we moved out on the 1st of the month, which was also not stated to us upon renting or clearly specified in the lease terms. ... DO NOT RENT HERE!! They are extremely unresponsive and unhelpful when you need it. 1) I had my stuff stolen and the insurance provided does not resolve claims 2) They provided no footage or assistance in order to help me find who broke into my unit. 3) After my unit was broken into (along with several others) they took over a month to repair the unit leaving all of my belongings vulnerable with little urgency to repair it or move me to a secure unit. In fact they raised my rent 4) After I moved out, someone else moved in and I had to call numerous times (probably like 30-40 times over a couple months) to get a refund only in credit to Public Storage NOT EVEN BACK TO MY CARD. Also beware THERE ARE NO CAMERAS IN THE FACILITY??? Cameras are only at the entrances which does not do much. Truly a nightmare renting here. The staff that occasionally is here, Mason specifically was very nice and helpful when they can be. So shoutout to Mason! They're clearly understaffed and the building management is greedy and ungrateful to their tenants. Any complaints you have will go unheard. Do not rent here go to any other storage place nearby. ... There is a considerable amount of mold that you can smell as soon as you walk into the building and so I immediately decided not to keep my things here . Mason did a phenomenal job of taking care of things was very friendly courteous, and was able to get me taken care of ! ... Read more

So, as I was moving in to this location recently, a tenant/victim of theft informed me that there have been several break ins of units at this location. Reportedly, the thieves climbed up and over the unit, unscrewed the bars over the unit and easily broke the lock from the inside of the unit as Public Storage has switched over to easily breakable locks that they provide. Said victim reported the management hasn't really done much to make the property more secure. Said victim met another tenant who recently experienced the same thing. Insurance didn't cover as there was no proof of what was actually in the unit. When there was an inquiry to an employee about the thefts, the response was shady. Perhaps an inside job? ... Read more

Where to start. The prices go up and up (now at 230 for a 10x10), we've witnessed assaults and verbal altercations in the building, the lobby is often closed and no one available, and most recently our unit was broken into and items stolen (the lock *they* sell and recommend was cut. I noticed 7 units on our row are now empty and when I walked just our row, there were 15 locks obviously damaged), the doors on the ground floor are constantly propped open - sadly, the staff doesn't do anything about this, and the elevators often don't work. We're moving ASAP. We should have done this ages ago, it's just so much work. This is *not* the place you want to store your possessions. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 2121 South Interstate 35 has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Keyless Unit Access, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 2121 South Interstate 35 can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 250 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 2121 South Interstate 35 come at a variety of prices, starting from $59 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $184 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
