Helen was absolutely amazing! I accidentally rented three storage units by mistake, and she went above and beyond to help me sort everything out. She stayed patient, professional, and kind the entire time, even though I was clearly in a bit of a mess. She made what could have been a stressful situation super easy and even kind of enjoyable. You can tell she really cares about helping people and takes pride in what she does. If you’re going to store your stuff anywhere, go to the Haskell location and ask for Helen—she’s the best! ... DO NOT MOVE YOUR ITEMS HERE (especially if they are important to you). This was one of the worst storage units I’ve had with Public Storage to date. Their facilities were not clean and overall the property manager did not care. There was rat feces and urine throughout my unit and they didn’t inform me but they were aware. Speaking to someone that had a unit next time mine that was also having to clean it out for the same problem, this is not the first time this has happened. They had no solutions and actually tried to say I had food in my unit which is what caused the problem. I had designer clothing in there and had to throw away a lot of bags due to the amount of feces and urine which is toxic. They did nothing to right this issue. I moved out immediately and they still tried to charge me a balance. I would advise everyone to look at a different Public Storage. ... Read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. Since renting a unit in march, my rent has went up multiple times each month. There are rats in the units. I went to my storage unit last weekend and had to fight off a rat. It damaged all my stuff. I spoke to management about it & they claimed they needed to come see to make sure despite proof. Also, The furniture carts, suddenly, been MIA for a couple months. No one is ever in the office during business hours. Don’t rent here!!! ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
