I signed up with Extra Space Storage after being offered a $58/month promotional rate if you purchased online vs in-store. Just three months later, my rate suddenly increased to $94/month. What’s frustrating is that no one clearly explained that the price would increase so quickly. The customer service representative never mentioned that the promotional rate would be available for only a short time or that the company frequently adjusts prices after move-in. When I questioned the increase, I was told that their month-to-month contracts allow them to change pricing at any time based on facility demand. While this may be buried in the contract language, it feels misleading because the initial sales pitch emphasized the $58 rate without explaining how quickly it could change. Had this been clearly disclosed, I would have chosen a different storage company with more stable pricing. Instead, it feels like a bait-and-switch tactic designed to get customers in the door and then raise the rate shortly after. If you're considering renting here, read the fine print carefully and expect your rate to increase. The facility itself may be fine, when the elevator is working, otherwise, you’ll be dragging your items up stairs. That’s frustrating at the current rate but at $94, absolutely not! The pricing model feels like a trap rather than transparent customer service. ... Read more

I really wanted to like this storage facility since it’s fairly new, but unfortunately my experience has been very disappointing. Despite being a newer property, there is already a noticeable rodent problem, which is extremely concerning when you’re storing personal belongings. Cleanliness throughout the facility is also a major issue. The bathrooms are consistently dirty, the elevator floors look like they haven’t been vacuumed in a very long time, and there are stains on the concrete floors that clearly haven’t been mopped for at least eight months. On top of that, my rent has increased significantly twice in just 14 months. Frequent rate hikes combined with declining cleanliness and maintenance make it very hard to justify staying. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and improves both upkeep and pricing practices, because the facility has potential — but right now, it’s not meeting reasonable expectations for cleanliness, maintenance, or value. ... Access to the building has become increasingly unsafe. The roadway, which is maintained by Public Storage, is not being properly managed or enforced for parking. Large vehicles and trailers are frequently left blocking the road, reducing it to a single lane, and recent snow has made the situation worse by trapping those vehicles in place. In addition, large items are being discarded in the surrounding woods and even into the roadway itself. Overall, the lack of maintenance and enforcement has created a hazardous and unacceptable access situation. There is no contact information listed on the website. I do not recommend using this Public Storage. Update, there seems to be progress on this issue as poles are going in to what I assume are no parking signs on the roadway. Public Storage is claiming they don't own or maintain the access road, but yet progress is being made. ... Read more

Today I had a pleasure meeting one Miss Jennifer Reed an employee of the public storage facility located on Bryn Mawr drive. Upon entering the facility I was greeted with a friendly hello a big smile and an offer of help. I found Jennifer Reed professional friendly attentive and accommodating. Cancel all of my questions courteously, professionally and knowledgeably. Her attention to detail was remarkable. Hey demeanor made the rental process an absolute pleasure. And I left the facility feeling assured that my belongings would be in good hands. Thank you Jennifer for helping me. I truly appreciate you efforts and will not soon forget your dedication. Five stars without question. And I will recommend your facility to all my friends, family and anyone else who might need your services. Another reason, to keep the faith and trust that the location manager (Jen - best customer service ever) has your back and listens to your feedback and requests. Been asking for more expanded access and bingo! DONE!! Keep the improvements coming! BTW - I read a review that talked about the safety of the road that approaches storage and blaming it on public storage. I too am concerned but point of clarification as I talked to a cop on the road giving someone a ticket, who clarified this is not the responsibility of public storage. So totally inaccurate what the other reviewer wrote. Misunderstanding ... Read more

Rodents everywhere! Units are not sealed, there is a gap of a couple inches in each corner, so rodents can come and go as they please, and people can reach into neighboring units. There's never staff to help with problems, like the elevator not working or the pass code box is down or the lights are out. We called several different numbers, never got a helpful human. ... The facility is generally great for a storage facility, but when there are issues they just don't have a plan or staff to do something. A few months ago, the elevators were disabled for an extended period, apparently due to improper or deferred maintenance. One time, I had to go upstairs and take the elevator down to use it because it couldn't be called to the first floor for some reason. Electronic building locks regularly fail. I can never get the electronic lock on the elevators to let me in through the app like it's supposed to. I have to manually enter the code. But, get this, the app has stopped displaying my code... so I had to find it and write it down. Twice I've seen the big drive-in doors broken or damaged--once it lasted months before being fixed. Employees are often unresponsive or not present. I once spent 30+ minutes trying to get the attention of the employee at the desk from outside locked interior and exterior doors. It was the middle of the day. And that gets me to today. See the attached photo. Two trucks blocking the drive-in. The larger truck is using all of the hand carts available and has stuff stacked around the elevators making them inaccessible to anyone else. Totally unacceptable. Where is the employee to intervene here? Again, not the first time this has happened. I've been blocked in before, waiting an hour or more to get out. Right now, I've been waiting almost an hour and typing this dumb review on my phone. Easy solutions here: have an employee present at all hours that use of the facility is allowed; enforce a queue for the drive-in so that people don't get blocked in; put out more hand carts - I could easily handle my current load from outside if carts were available; and require trucks over a certain size to coordinate a time in advance, park outside the drive-in, or use only their own hand carts. I hope you consider at least one of these. Also, please continue to maintain the elevators. Really shameful to have them shut down... Otherwise, yeah, it's a storage facility, not expensive, reasonably safe, and in a convenient location. Updating this in September 2025: the elevators are out AGAIN. How is it that you manage a four-story building, but you can't keep two elevators in basic working order? This despite a recent rent hike. Where is that money going? Please, just keep the elevators functioning. It's not much to ask. This is the only building I've seen in my entire life that can't keep elevators functioning, and I've spent a lot of time in parts of the world with much lower standards. For this, dropping my rating by two stars as if that means anything. ... Read more

I recently moved into a unit at this property after having to move four times in the past two years. The property and units are clean, loading area is laid out well, and the staff have been responsive and awesome to address any concerns and questions I had. Other units have not been very responsive and seemed more focused on corporate policy and making money. Jennifer (manager) and Emaad (other office employee) have been awesome! Both are reactive, seem to care about the tenants and are very friendly, approachable and professional. Highly recommend this storage facility! ... Read more

You don't find decent customer service often nowadays, but they really nailed it here. They were very patient and thorough answering my questions and even brought up some other possible questions I might have later on. One of the employees even made sure to check up on me as I moved in my belongings. All of this was a really welcomed relief since moving can be so stressful. Not to mention the facility is very nice; I particularly appreciate the covered loading area with high clearance for moving trucks. Thanks again for the pleasant interaction! ... Read more

Strictly here in support of Jennifer. Moving in general is never an easy feat. Moving from overseas is an increased challenge. From day one, Jennifer helped with assisting me in discovering the proper temporary storage unit best equipped to sustain my household furniture. She's super professional, pleasant and personable. I've been a customer for four months and I can honestly say I've remained a satified customer. Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
