What customers are saying

4.6/5 - 629 Reviews

Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 620 Harrison Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Storage facility has flooded at least 3 times in the past four years. The property knows it and conceals it from new tenants. They will increase your rent by between 50-75% after you’ve been there for one year. Facility has had repeated rodent problems. Don’t trust the huge number of five star reviews, after all lmao who bothers writing an overwhelmingly positive review of their storage facility? You just don’t. It’s storage. You pay, they keep your stuff, you don’t think about it. Those reviews are spam. Also note that they only respond on here to the positive reviews, making it even more clear they’re posting the reviews themselves and responding right away as the business. If they were genuinely engaging, they would respond to the negative reviews as well. Avoid at all costs. ... Read more

I just had the best experience with Maria putting all of my life’s treasures into storage. On a day when everything is so hard (moving!) what a treat to be treated well. Maria patiently helped me figure out what I needed to move in and then followed up hecka promptly changing my gate code after I gave it out to my movers. I feel so lucky to have chosen this Public Storage! Also the facility is well maintained with everything extra clean and a very clean bathroom to boot! ... Read more

Elevator is broken and the apparent protocol for access (going to the third floor and then taking the stairs) didn't work. I am not physically capable of accessing the unit I am paying money for. No one is physically present at the office. This is a breach of service - the service I am paying for is not available during normal access hours despite the fact that I am still paying them. ... Though the storage business model is aggravating (raising rates substantially over time once you're in) I appreciate the support provided by Maria to understand how the system works and the best strategy for getting as reasonable a rate as possible! ... Read more

It would be 5 stars because our storage experience has been that way. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because there's not a way to exclude insurance or remove it by providing it while on the online reservation. ... Read more

I was helped by Maria. I had a complicated situation to figure out, and she listened, understood, and helped us decide on which storage option was best for me. I also very much appreciate that Maria was good at explaining the documents I needed to sign, and patient with me as I read through them and asked questions. Excellent Customer Service!!! ... Service was very unhelpful. The storage space was very dirty, littered with rat poop, and had a dead rat. There were no pushcarts available when we came on a weekday afternoon, so we had to manually carry all items up. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 620 Harrison Street has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 620 Harrison Street can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 20 to 300 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 620 Harrison Street come at a variety of prices, starting from $35 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $706 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
