Sherry at the front desk was rhetorical most kind and delightful hostess. I appreciated that she helped me find an online storage unit and expedited the transition quickly. It was cold and rainy and she was so kind to walk us to a nice unit and instantly we concluded the transaction. I had to go in and out of the facility because I waited for my husband and must have called 3 times to finally meet her. Each time she answered she patiently each call with “I’ll be here for you, anytime”. She is reassuring and patient. She hugged me in the end, because that’s how personable she is. Kudos! ... Honest Review about my experience here. The reason this place has so many reviews about “someone helping them” instead of actual experiences is because you’re constantly asked to leave a review—during sign-up, through emails, and even on the app. That creates misleading feedback instead of real insight into how the facility operates. My sign-up experience was fine, as you’d expect—it’s a sale. But the problems started almost immediately. I got my unit yesterday, and today I can’t even access it because the door to the hallway where my unit is located is locked. There’s no keypad on that door, and since it’s a holiday, the office is closed. At no point during sign-up did anyone mention that this could ever happen. I only noticed that the door had a lock after I had already purchased my unit, since it wasn’t on my mind at the time. Unfortunately, now it’s keeping me from getting to my belongings. Why would they make the door lockable, and not accessible in this one particular area? On top of that, the neighboring unit is flooded, and that tenant can’t reach anyone for help. Between that and being locked out myself, it’s clear these aren’t just minor inconveniences—they’re major problems that should never occur at a storage facility. The are is okay. My worries is if this place has rats, and I'm sure they do from the smell. But I don't have an issue so far. Since it's only been 24 hours. Maintenance here is so so. The locked door doesn't close without forcing it to close. And the bathroom door hardly locks, it's takes some time to make the door lock. The app is nice. But I had a hard time leaving the area because the app was not loading. Which brings me to another problem. At no time has anyone given me a gate code. My emails that I received have no gate code in them. And I was not given any documents at all so nothing was written down for me. So that makes me stress that one day I'll be stuck in here is my app doesn't work or they have a glitch. The reality of the storage business is they’ll tell you whatever they need to get you in the door. That’s been my experience over the years, and sadly this place just reinforced it. I’ve had my unit for less than 24 hours and I already can’t access it—that says everything you need to know. The only good thing so far is the location if you need to be near this area. And they have the monopoly in this area for the most part, since the closest storage to here is another public storage. Let's hope the door is opened tomorrow. I'm ready to look for another unit. They'll probably see it as a minor inconvenience, but I don't see it that way. ... Read more

I've always enjoyed this location and service from staff. Today was particularly pleasing! I got a rental increase email (the end of my promotional term had ended). I called and Shasta was able to delay the increase to my rental by 3 more months. I'm grateful I didn't have to move and look forward to having a competitive price over the months and years ahead! Thanks, Shasta! ... Read more

Immediately after her call she apologized and asked how she could help me. I proceeded to share my situation and as i was talking she was working her magic. Customer service was awesome. I put a “no-obligation” hold on a storage unit at a good price point. Great feature. A week later, I went to complete the booking online and was very concerned when I found out the unit was taken over Labor Day weekend. Stacy called me back right away and they honored the hold and set me up with a slightly larger unit, at the same price. Thanks Stacy!!! ... Read more

These amenities include Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. The storage units offered by Public Storage - 3230 Pierce Street can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 270 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 3230 Pierce Street come at a variety of prices, starting from $81 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $548 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
