We have been renting a 10x15 unit here since 2021. When we started, rent was $130/month. In just 3 years, it has doubled to $270/month — yet the quality of the facility has gone downhill. (Currently on August 14th 2025, the 10x15 unit is being advertised to rent for $128 per month. I don't understand how that is acceptable) The manager is kind, but the unit itself has been a nightmare. Over the years, everything inside has been contaminated with mouse droppings, and many of our belongings have been destroyed from chewing and burrowing. Even more devastating, in 2022 we brought home a tote with decorations home from the storage unit. Unknowing to us there was mice in the tote which caused us to have a mice infestation over the winter and then led to a flea infestation on our indoor only pets! We take care of our property, but the pest problem here is clearly not being managed. I have religiously paid our bill on time with auto-pay. This month, something went wrong with autopay — the system claimed my payment was declined (even though my bank shows no such issue), and I was charged both a $25 “returned payment” fee and a $45 late fee. This turned our $270 bill into $340, despite never having been late in three years. To make matters worse, my payment is due on the 1st of every month, and within 6 days past the due date, we received notices saying that they would be sending our items to auction if not paid. We have been loyal, on-time customers, but this will be our last month here. Between the extreme rent hikes, rodent infestation, and unfair fees, I cannot recommend this facility to anyone. I attached the pictures of all the droppings throughout our unit, the destroyed decorations, and the fluff/Styrofoam that was pulled out from our belongings and our couch. I am completely surprised to see that they have a 4.6/5 rating on Google ** Edited on August 18th 2025 ** At first, I was very frustrated and left a one-star review. However, the district manager, Matthew, personally called to discuss my concerns. He was kind, professional, and really listened. He refunded our August payment, adjusted our rate to match the average price other customers pay, and explained that they do have an extermination contract in place. He also said if anything was heavily destroyed, the company would pay for disposal. While we’ve still decided to cancel our unit, I do appreciate the effort to make things right. Because of Matthew’s customer service and the way the company responded, I think a fair rating is 3 stars instead of 1. ... Read more

Kay is a sweetheart and is the best to work with. Matt (district manager), also probably the best around. If looking for a facility to go to or rent from. This would definitely be it! Thank you!! ... Ivy is very kind and informative, she let me see two storage units before deciding which one to get. She is very patient. Because I was already stressed, I couldn't sign in and finish the reservation she took her time and made the reservation and helped me unlock my profile. Then was able to sign in to the public storage app. Thank you Ivy! Great help and made me want to do business with Public storage. Go see Ivy in the Chicopee location. Thank you! ... Read more
