Car storage units in New York

So far this is my very first time ever renting a storage unit. I am renting a 10 by 10, I finally had time to look at my text messages. Neighbor Self-Storage text me and they placed a lock on my unit for me. How sweet, but I prefer using my own lock. I'm waiting for the answer so I can use my own lock. Other than that everything else seems to be going very smoothly I hope when I get there they have hand trucks because I am disabled I am 58 I am by myself. This is a task I did not want to do on my own at this stage in my life. But life hands you curve balls and you just have to go with the flow.

I want to recognize Alex (the manager) at the Public Storage in Mount Sinai for providing outstanding customer service. He helped me tremendously and solved my issue immediately, without any hesitation or complications. It’s rare to find someone who is so professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely willing to help. Public Storage is fortunate to have an employee like him.

I am posting this review for Extra Space storage in Bohemia, Long Island, NY. Donna the store manager has been so helpful over the last couple years with helping me set up my first unit and then moving me into a bigger one. The grounds are maintained perfectly. I never have a problem accessing my unit and I do recommend keeping your precious items at this facility May 9, 2026.

I want to express my appreciation for the excellent service I received from Tim at Extra Space Storage in Rock Tavern. I had signed up for a month-to-month rental of a 10x10 unit, but after realizing the unit didn’t include climate control—and since I needed to store valuable electronic equipment—I knew it wouldn’t work for my needs. I called the following day, which happened to be a Sunday, and left several messages. Early Monday, Tim promptly returned my call, listened to my concerns, and assured me that my unit would be canceled and my payment refunded. By the end of the day, I had received a full refund, including the administrative fee. I truly appreciate Tim’s professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency. It’s refreshing to encounter someone who goes the extra mile to make things right. I highly recommend Extra Space Storage in Rock Tavern—be sure to ask for Tim!

When I walked in the office I felt welcomed and Jaime was so kind with a smile. She was very helpful and very informative. She was patient with all the questions I had. The place looks so nice and clean and I really like my storage unit! Thank you Jaime for everything!! ??

Love the location and your garage for my 2nd vehicle. Your staff is very helpful and supportive especially Tim who just yesterday helped me when my Camaro's Battery was dead when I tried to get her running with hints and suggestions when he couldn't locate longer jumper cables at your facility.
